This may or may not be helpful to you but here goes:
From a book called _Collins-Clark-Jarrett_ published in 1976 andadditional researchers work in the 1970's (John W. Campbell of ApacheJunction, AZ and Mildred Clark Bailey of Leeton, MO--both probably nowdeceased)
two brothers: (1) Edward Campbell b. ca. 1780 Henry Co., VA md. HannahHolt ca. 1800 in Patrick County, VA; (2) John Campbell b. ca. 1785 HenryCo., VA md. Elizabeth Beller 4 January, 1803 in Patrick Co., VA (suretygiven by Eli Beller).
"known" children (there are a bunch missing) of John and ElizabethCampbell: (1) James Campbell b. 1804 md. Lucinda/Lucy _____ (2) Caleb C.Campbell b. 1822 md. Martha Jane Jarrett 12 November, 1842 in PatrickCo., VA (parents Wyatt and Amy Jarrett); (3) William Alexander Campbellb. 16 May, 1823 md. Nancy Melissa Collins b. 20 March, 1823, md.December, 1841 in Patrick Co., VA (her father was Francis Collins--hesigned the "marriage obligation" for her on 27 November, 1841); (4)Thomas K. Campbell b. ca. 1824/5 md. Mary C. Clark (daughter of HenryClarke) 23 January, 1845 in Patrick County, VA; (5) Lydia Ann Campbell b.1825 md. William B. Smith, October, 1843 in Patrick Co., VA.
In the 1850 census for Patrick Co. were William Alexander Campbell, hiswife Nancy, and three sons: Benjamin, age 7, William H.H. age 3, and James T. b. July, 1850 (under 1 year old).
William Alexander Campbell died 7 July, 1898 in Joplin, Jasper County, MO.
These Campbells are related to Campbells that were in Surry and Stokes County, NC, some of whose lines went to Jackson and Madison Counties in Alabama about 1820. I have cousins trying to sort out these lines--with limited success. There are an awful lot of missing blanks

Surnames: Campbell, Collins, Holt, Beller, Clark
While trying to sort out my and a cousin's various Campbell and Collinslines, I came across these notes from two descendants of theCollins-Clark line. Some of what is below is also published from familyand census records in a book, called _Collins-Jarrett-Clark_ in 1976. Theoriginal research was done by John Campbell of Apache Junction, AZ andMildred Clark Bailey (both were researching this line in the 1970's andboth may be now deceased).
Brothers: (1) Edward Campbell b. ca. 1780 Henry Co., VA md. Hannah Holtca. 1798 in Patrick County, VA (2) John Campbell b. ca. 1785 VA md.Elizabeth Beller, 4 January, 1803 in Patrick County, VA (surety was givenby Eli Beller.)
9children of John and Elizabeth Campbell: (1) James Campbell b. ca. 1804md. Lucinda/Lucy ______; (2) William Alexander Campbell b. 16 May, 1823,md. Nancy Melissa Collins, dau. of Francis Collins in December, 1841(Francis Collins signed the "marriage obligation" 27 November, 1841),Patrick Co., VA, William died 7 July, 1898 in Joplin, Jasper County, MO;(3) Caleb C. Campbell b. 1822 md. Martha Jane Jarrett b. 1824, 12November, 1842, Patrick Co., VA; (4) Thomas K. Campbell b. 1824, PatrickCo., VA, md. Mary C. Clark daughter of Henry Clark 23 January, 1845 inPatrick Co., VA; (5) Lydia Ann Campbell b. 1825 md. William B. Smith b.1820, md. in October, 1843.
There is a note in the records stating that one female died 10 October,1814. The date of death is wrongfully ascribed to someone _born_ much later, so it is suspected by the researchers that this death date may actually apply to Elizabeth Beller and that the later children of John Campbell may have been born by another wife.
Please note there is a big gap between the oldest born in 1804 and thenext in the list born in 1822--there are obviously children missing. This Campbell family appears to be connnected to a line in Stokes and Surry Counties, NC which is related to a cousin of mine. If anyone can fill in the blanks on this line, and identify the rest of the brothers and sisters of John and Edward and their parents please send me a directe-mail with the particulars. Several people are trying to sort out the NC and VA Campbell lines--some of whom went to northern Alabama.
