Obituary: "Mr. Cecil Cochran, age 77 of Fairmount, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006 at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Bessa Cochran, Fairmount; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Cochran and Danny & Teresa Cochran, all of Fairmount; daughter & son-in-law, Pat & Freddie Gibson, Fairmount; brother Charlie Cochran, Cartersville; sisters Essie Rogers, Cartersville, and Ruby Nelson, Washington State. Five grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Chumbley. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 11 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerold Young officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The following served as pallbearers: Brad & Chad Cochran, Joshua Gibson, Adam Chumbley, and Charles & Jerry Edwards." Cagle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."
