About James Ruben Cull
James Cull was a settler at Draper's Meadow during the incident called the Draper's Meadow Massacre. He was injured but escaped on horseback and rode to the nearby fort for help. Family legend also says he fled England after accidentally cutting down a tree in the King's Forest.
