About James Benton Dickson, (CSA)

Twin brother of John Brantly Dickson, who died Oct. 10, 1919, and is buried in Lone Cedar Cemetery. "Bent" and his twin brother enlisted in the same unit of the Confederate States Army on the same date and served together until the end of the war. The unit was Company E, Hardee's Brigade, Alabama Cavalry. In 1868 both brothers came to Shelby Co., Texas and shortly thereafter (by 1870) both were married to Shelby County girls.

Husband of Permelia Corley Dickson, and son of John Dickson 1806-1881, and Catherine Williamson 1815-1879.

Children include Clara Dickson Jolley, John Thomas Dickson, Walter Dickson, Mary Dickson, Alfred B. Dickson
