On 10 July Tom’s son, James, signed an order for one John Henderson to collect his Indent for him in Charleston, SC, including interest for the past 3 years. There were Drapers in the SC Continental Regiments # 14, 15, and 21, but I do not have the given names at this writing.

An unsolved mystery is the identification of Charles Draper, hanged in April, 1779 by the Continental Army at Old 96 District Courthouse for “treason” during the Revolutionary War, and mistakenly referred to as Zacharias Gibb’s brother-in-law in old writings. However, he may have been the Charles born to Tom’s much older brother, William, in VA, and therefore “a nephew of Col. Gibb’s brother-in-law. (Zacharias Gibbs escaped a similar fate by signing promissory"
