About James Edgecomb, Jr.

Entry states: He was buried on the old Edgecomb farm at North Saco, inscription on tombstone is: "James Edgecomb Died May 19, 1835 AE 78. He was a Soldier in Revolution". The old cemetery lies in a field back of the house, the small, fenced-in plot distinguised by the tall white stome marker of Eli (6) Edgecomb, and near it lie the graves of James and his wife Anna Burnham. They settled on the old Edgecomb homestead that was part of the Gibbons land inherited by the heirs of Rachel Edgecomb. Both he and his wife became members of the Orthodox church in Scarborugh.
