(Maine) Probate Records: 12/113: JAMES FERNALD, of Kittery -- Will, 6 April 1763: "James Fernald of Kittery, yeoman, being aged, devises after just debts and funeral charges are paid, to: wife Hannah, one-third of the yearly profits of all the lands and buildings belonging to me in Kittery while she remains my widow, produced yearly by my son John Fernald or his heirs; to my daughter Keziah Hanscom, now wife of Timothy Hanscom, 20/ L.M. besides what she has already been given; to the heirs of my daughter Hannah Wentworth, wife of Capt. John Wentworth of Kittery, viz Andrew Pepperell Wentworth and Margery Wentworth, her children, 12/ each L.M., paid to Andrew at 21 and to Margery at 18 by my son John Fernald; to Hannah, the child lately born of Abigail Wentworth, a feather bed and furniture for some, 1/2 dozen good chairs, a table, etc., at age 18; she shall be maintained out of my estate till aged 18 with her mother's consent; to my son John, executor, all my estate, real and personal, land and buildings in Kittery where I dwell...." Witnesses: John Rogers, Mercy Fitts, Richard Rogers, John Godsoe. Probated 22 May 1769.
