About James Thomas Fraley, Sr.
(According to Gennis Fraley):
"James Fraley had moved to Oklahoma [Indian Territory] from Arkansas. Here [he met his wife]. They started to raise their family. Often times they returned home after a day away to find Indians in the house. Some were seen climbing out of the windows to flee as they approached. Finally after doing farm related work in various places, such as Crowder City, Rayford, Stidham and Eufaula,
they rented land around Lenna, Oklahoma and started their own farm. Dad bought and sold hay.
My father had passed away in 1933. I was four years old. He was having a lot of stomach pain. We had no idea what was ailing him, but we have since concluded it was cancer that took him from us."
Burried in Lenna Cemetery, in McIntosh County, OK.
(Location: West on Number 9 Highway from Eufaula at NS 411 turn north,6 miles to EW 113, go west 4 miles to NS 407 and turn south 1/2 mile.)
The cemetery is divided into eight sections. Sections B D F & H are in the east half. James' resting place is located in SECTION F, ROW 11, in the second plot (right next to his parents).
