About James Alexander Frazier

Update August 13 2015. A researcher discovered the graves of James Alexander Frazier and Mary Drake in Highland Cemetery, Mt Pleasant Jefferson Co., Ohio We have added the birth and death dates for Alexander as he was known. Mary's stone is in at least 3 pieces and very hard to read, James A. was lying under a mound of old grass as was Mary's

Inscription on Mary's was Mary Drake, wife of _______ Born _____ Died________ See Mary's for more info;

The family migrated to the Patterson's Mill area on Big Short Creek, along the Jefferson and Belmont Co line. There Alexander built a grist mill. There were 3 children,John, Hiram, and Samuel, all born in Winchester, Frederick Co VA. first born in Ohio was my gggrandfather Robert between 1819 and 1820. Other children were Son Joseph Gilbert born1827/28, who migrated to Fairmont, Fillmore Co Nebraska in the 1870's. Started as a farmer, but finished as an Newpapers Editor Little can be found surrounding Mary in 1830, and George in 1842.

Two grandchildren, Ellen Helen Frazier Riddle migrated to the area of Fillmore Co., Nebraska and near by areas, While Hiram, son, son of Robert and Marion Thorburn went to Indian Terr. in the Dakotas in 1869.

Frankly, it's hard to believe there were not more children born, but not surviving long enough to be counted in any census

We have record of birth and deaths of all of the known children.

The last known residence was in Martin's Ferry, Pease Township,
