Indianapolis, Ind. August 23, 1915 Dear Arthur. Some time ago we received a letter from you..........Rhoda wrote us that she and her two children were coming up for the fair the first week in Sept. So don’t know whether we can come be there or not. Katie Lucas also wanted her husband and oldest daughter to come and stay with us for the fair. Have you written the folks at Lyons Jim, Rhoda, Mag, and Rus? Katie Lucas said Will Talley Aunt Eliza’s son was lying at the point of death. He may be dead by this time.......... Hope you are well. Mollie isn’t very well Hasn’t been all summer. Let us hear from you. I always get Flo to write - and she has been very busy .......Love to all the folks. /s/Uncle Eck per Flo -

Preparations are now in progress for the removal of the house on the corner of Broad and Wine streets, lately bought by Thomas McKee from George Dye. Mr. McKee will then erect on the site, a fine brick business house. Bloomfield News March 17, 1905

In the town election held at Lyons on Tuesday the following new officers were elected: Trustees, Ed Workman, John Davidson and W. R .Anderson; clerk, J . G. McKee; treasurer, F. M. Harwood. James G. McKee, a prominent young man of Lyons, was In town Monday and called at the News office to get a county map for a friend who is interested in taking oil options. The oil fever is quite strong in the Lyons vicinity and many farms are being optioned. Mr. McKee recently sold his stock of goods in Lyons and next September will go back to his first love the farm. - - Bloomfield News February 1, 1907

The fire engine and department was called Monday to the home of James McKee on the farm but the fire was extinguished by the time they reached the house. The loss was not great - - Bloomfield News May 15, 1919
