JAMES HAMILTON

James Hamilton, here treated, is the bastard son of Alexander Hamilton, younger of Innerwick. He was born before 5 February 1628, the date upon which his baptism was registered at Innerwick in East Lothian, Scotland. The name of his mother is not mentioned in his baptismal record. It reads as follows: "5 of februarij 1628.
