About James Jackson, Jr.

From the History of Toquerville, Utah, Vol. 4, there is a history of James Jackson, and his wives, Annis Bedford, (2) Martha McFate, (3) Sarah Ann Stapley.

He was born in Chesfield, Kent, Eng. 6 Feb. 1826. He joined the LDS Church in 1856 and came to America that same year. He crossed the plains in the Hand Cart Company of Israel Evans, arriving in Salt Lake City in Sept. 1857.
