About James Monroe Jenks

  • "OBIT: One of the old inhabitants of Poland passed away on Feb. 8. He was b. in Essex Co. but had been a resident of this town for more than a quarter of a century. Of a large family none survive him but one brother and sister, Fayette Jenks and Mrs. Lucinda Taylor, both of this place. His wife died about three years ago, and one dau., Lizzie Jenks preceded her parents to the better country several years since. Dennis Jenks and Mrs. Albert Bird are the only survivors of the family. Funeral services in M.E. Church Kennedy. Interment was in cemetery at Clark's Corners."
