Interests: He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Scranton, where he served as a deacon and a pastoral assistant. He was also a member of the Singer's Guild of Scranton and Wally Gordon Choral Group, and he served as president of the North Scranton Lions Club.

Hobbies: He was an extraordinary craftsman and he had a great love for music.
