About James Snead Large
Only son, born premature. Had 4 full sisters and one half sister. Lived in the country on a small farm. Father woned a country store. Worked as a construction worker and later became a plumber. Never served in the armed forces because of a leg fracture occured from a tombstone turning over on him. His leg was never set and caused problems all his life. Because of his misformed leg he received teasing from classmates. Never alloed anything to be teased or hurt as a young man. He could not bear to see an animal suffer. He was a man of strong character, a good father who provided well for his family.
