James Martin

Birth: 1774, Ireland Death: Aug. 20, 1840 Bucyrus Crawford County Ohio, USA

James and his wife Sarah (Hawks) Martin sailed from England in 1821 with their four daughters; Martha, Mary Ann, Elizabeth and Caroline. Sarah was pregnant with their fifth child Joseph and he was born in Philadelphia in Feb of 1822. They migrated to the Holmes, Crawford County, Ohio area in 1822 after he was born. They lived the rest of their lives in Holmes Township and are both buried in the Tiffin Road a/k/a Union Cemetery in Bucyrus

Daughter Martha (Martin) Caldwell is buried at the Union Cemetery in Wyandot County, Ohio. Row 6, grave 18.
