About James William Ritchie
Dies of Asphyxiation
Peculiar Bronchial Affection Proves Fatal to James W. Richie, Farmer, East of the City.
James W. Richie, seventy-three years old, a farmer who lived one mile east of South Park, died of asphyxiation about 12 o'clock last night, during an attack caused by a peculiar bronchial affection. His wife was awakened by her husband's labored breathing and she aroused the servant girl. They worked for a time with the suffering man, and than Mrs. Richie went to the telephone to summon a physician. The telephone was out of order and Mr. Richie died in a few minutes.
Mr. and Mrs. Richie moved to the farm east of the city two yeas ago having come from Oklahoma. Aside from the widow the survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Randall of Stilwater, Okla and a son, John Richie of California. The body will be taken to Agency, this county, for burial.
Mrs. Richie is a cousin of Chief of Police W. H. Frans
