BMD shows the death of a JAMES SCHOFIELD , age 82 , was registered in the District of Leigh in June 1959 , Volume 10d , Page 19 . There is no other James Schofield in BMD records with as close age details to the correct date of birth so this entry is a reasonable possibility . Further references required as to burial or newspaper records . There is a headstone shown in Leigh Cemetery on Billiongraves.com shared with a Mary Schofield but the details of the inscriptions are illegible .
