About James Madison Shields
- ***** From complications of diseases,James Madison Shields,a long time resident of Taylorsville,passed away in the home of his son,Earl J. Shields,there early Saturday morning. He was born in Reed Station,but early in his life removed to Taylorsville,where he has since resided. He was a member of the East Union Presbyterian Church,he leaves his widow,Elvira Farnsworth Shields,three children: Earl J. Shields,mentioned earlier; Hazel Shields Douglass of Olanta,Clearfield County,Pa.; Clayton Shields of Revloc; a sister,Matilda Allison of Fairview W.Va. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Taylorsville Presbyterian Church and internment will be held at the Oakland Cemetery.
