About James F. Sullivan
The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Boatswain's Mate James F. Sullivan, United States Navy, for gallant and heroic conduct in jumping overboard from the U.S. Training Ship New Hampshire, at Newport, Rhode Island, 21 April 1882, and rescuing from drowning Francis T. Price, Third Class Boy.
