James Preston Tilson

James Preston Tilson (1857-1907) was a son of Harmon Henry Tilson & Mary Jane Groseclose.

1st married Clotilda Virginia Harmon (1861-1897) in 1880.

2nd to Birdie May Woolsey (1876-1946) in 1900.

Dr. James Preston Tilson, was a Surgeon Dentist, Salinas Utah.

On Jan 26, 1880, James married Clotilda Virginia Harmon. They apparently had 8 children before she died 17 years later (cause not yet known) at age 36. Three years after her death, in 1900, he married Birdie Mae Woolsey and had 4 more children before he died in 1907 of "Strangulation while in an intoxicated condition". Some time roughly between when his first wife died and his own death, at least 4 of his children from his first marriage apparently returned to Virginia to live with Clotilda's father and some of her siblings, according to the 1910 census
