According the Messenger-Inquirer on Monday March 4, 1968: He died 3-2-1968 Jim R. Vicnent died at him home in Greenville in the New Cyprus Community. He was born in Muhlenberg County on July 31, 1894. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dovie VIncent of Route 1, Greenville; four daughters, Miss Lonell Vincent of Route 1, Greenville, Mrs. Wanda Browning of Cadiz, Mrs. June Green of Gary, Indiana, amd Mrs. Freda Croft of Graham; three sons, Huston Vincent of Central City, Lindell Vincent of Route 2, Greenville, and John Vincent of Gary, Indiana; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Clara Wakeland of Greenville; one stepbrother, Charlie Wright of Route 1, Greenville.

Burial will be in New Cypress Cemetery.
