Villagers, parish and rural district councillors and officials, representatives of many other organizations, together with family and friends, filled Freshford village church to pay their last tribute to Mr James Weston Male, former Bathavon Rural Council chairman, and "father" to the Council, who died on 23rd January at his home, Westleigh, Freshford, aged 86. The address was given by the Rev.
