About James Andrew "Jim" Wolfe
James "Jim" Andrew Wolfe 82, Paoli went to be with the Lord at 4:03 pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd. Jim was born on October 13, 1934 in Paoli to Charles Arthur Wolfe and Beulah Maude Akers Wolfe.He married Mary J. Hawkins. They were blessed with one daughter Cindy Kay Wolfe. His wife and daughter preceded him in death along with his parents.
Jim was of Christian faith and attended the Livonia Presbyterian Church. He was a lifelong resident of Orange County where he owned and operated Wolfe Contracting and Transfer Station. During his life he was a farmer, worked at the old Kraft Cheese factory, as well as drove a truck for Lehigh Cement Company. Jim operated heavy equipment and helped engineer Patoka Lake as well as Paoli Peaks. He was a member of the Paoli Masonic Lodge #119, Hadi Temple Shriners of Evansville, IN. Jim was a US Army Veteran and served in Germany.
Survivors include his companion Karen J. Strother, one brother Howard Eugene Wolfe and his wife Anna and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday February 18, 2017 at the Livonia Presbyterian Church with Interment to follow at the Stampers Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Held at the Dillman-Scott funeral home. Friday February 17, 2017 from 3 - 8 PM With Masonic services to be provided by the Paoli Masonic lodge #119 F&AM at 6 PM.There will also be visitation from 9 AM until service time on Saturday at the Livonia Presbyterian Church.
