About James Wyeth
James Wyeth was born to parents James and Kezia in Southampton in 1886. In 1891 the family were living in 59 Adelaide Road in Portswood. On the census of that year James and Kezia are listed with their eight children of whom James junior aged 4 is the third youngest. By 1901 the family are living at 84 Princes Street in Northam. James senior, who is now described as a widower and is a shipyard labourer, is living with his seven children. James junior, aged 14, was also working in a shipyard, possibly the same yard as his father.
James married Isabella Anne (Annie) Cox in late 1910 and by 1911 they are living at 14 Millbank Street (see attached return) in Northam. Their first and only child, Gladys, was born in the spring of 1912 at about the time of the Titanic’s sailing.
