ITEM-I give unto my daughter Jane Joyce Self all that parcell land where Richard Organ lived being bought by me of Thomas Watson and alsoe I give unto my daughter Jane Joyce a parcell of land joyning to the land of Middletons & upon Mr. Saml Rusts mill branches and also I give unto my daughter Jane Joyce a parcell of land being Sisty & six acres where Susanna Moon now liveth and if my daughter Jane Joyce die without issue then to be disposed of as the other before mentioned.

STEPHEN SELFE and JANE JOYCE his Wife, one of the Daughters of JOHN GARNER, late of this County, deced., by their Petition to this Court sett forth that JOHN GARNER by his Last Will and Testament did give and bequeath to his Daughter the sum of twenty pounds sterling and that WILLIAM GARNER, Executor of the Will, refused the payment thereof, and WILLIAM being called and saying nothing in barr of the Petition, upon motion of STEPHEN & JANE JOYCE Judgment is granted them against WILLIAM GARNER for the sum of twenty pounds sterling and it is ordered he pay the same with costs als Execution

SELF: Stephen Self m. 1712 Jane Joyce Garner. They are the parents of Job Self I, Phillip Self, Willoughby Self I, and Benjamin Self, in Westmoreland Co., Virginia.
Willoughby Self I married Ann Hudson before 1735 and died before 1748. Willoughby Self II was on Bute Co. NC 1762/1766 tax lists, etc.. Willoughby Self III, b.1751; m. 1777 to Hannah Blackwood. He was on Bute NC Tax List. It's my understanding they dropped most men from Tax Rolls after they turned age 60.
Job Self I born abt 1715 Westmoreland Co, VA. He married Nancy Hudson sister of Ann and was in Fairfax County Va. in 1749/1754. Children: Vincent Self, Isaac Self, Nancy, Parrish, William, Bradley, Job Self II born ca. 1744/1751 in Va.
