About Jane Marie Causley
Jane Causley (widow of Soloman) appears in the Sault Ste Marie directory as late as 1903 and 1905.
According to her 2nd great grand-daughter Eunice Belanger, Jane Riel was a known mid-wife and healer. She rode far and wide. Her embroidered saddle was a prized possession shown to her by her grandmother Delia at the Cazalet farm. She was known as a life-companion of Solomon.
