I JANE COLE of Independent Hill Prince William County being feable in health, but of sound mind, do make this my last Will. Wishing to dispose of what worldly effects, which I have in manner becoming to me just and right

1st. To my daughter EDNA A. LYNN or her heirs I bequeath the sum of fifty dollars to be chosen and taken out of any of my property after it shall have been appraised at the appraisement price and if she chooses nothing then all to be sold and she is to receive Fifty Dollars or if anything is chosen then enough be paid out of the bal: to make said sum of Fifty dollars.

2nd. The bal: of my property I wish to be sold and the proceeds after first paying my funeral expenses and any debts I may owe to be divided among my heirs in such manner as it would ____ as if there were no will, if either of said heirs chooses anything from my estate they shall have the sum at whatever it shall be appraised for,

3rd. I appoint my son JAMES L. COLE my Executor and I ask that no security be exacted of him.

In witness whereof I have signed sealed published and declared this instrument as my last Will on the 6th day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Eight.

The said Jane Cole at said place on said day of April /88 signed and sealed this instrument and published and declared the same as and for her last Will and we at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto written our names as subscribing witnesses.




In Prince William County Court June 2nd 1890

This the last will and testament of JANE COLE decd. was produced to the Court for probate and the signatures thereto finally proven by the Oath of THOS. J. SULLIVAN and JNO. L. KEYS subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And in motion of J. L. COLE the Executor therein named who made oath (re security being request) entered into and acknowledged a bind in the penalty of $____ conditioned according to law which bond was ordered to be given ___ Certificate is granted the same Cole for obtaining a probate of said will in due form.
