YORK, May 4.

I have a mournful duty to peform in recording the somewhat unexpected death of one of our oldest and most respected settlers at Beverley— Mrs. James Fleay. The cause of her death was sore throat, a complaint which just now is rather prevalent here.

FLEAY.-At Gilgering, near York, on 1st May, 1872, Jane, the beloved wife of John, aged 57 ; deeply regretted by her large and sorrowing family.
