age on census records from 1881 1891 and 1901 suggest Jane was born ca1878 or 1879. Age on marriage and death suggest she was born 1881 or 1882. She can't have been born 1882 as she is on 1881 census. It's possible she was born 1881 and age was 3 months, not 3 years and it's been transcribed incorrectly. I've not obtained actual copy of census record to check. Have not traced birth record yet. There is one 1878 birth for a Jane Forrest in Hutchestown, Glasgow, but that is not her
