Commodore Matthew Calbraith Perry married, in New York City, October 24, 1814, Jane Slidell, born there, February 29, 1797, died at Newport, Rhode Island, June 14, 1879, daughter of John Slidell, who was born in New York City, July 25, i771, and died there, September 30, 1832.

Their child, Jane Perry, born October 31, 1819, died in New York City, December 24, 1881, married, at Brooklyn, New York, October 20, 1841, John Hone.
