Mrs. Jane Hvitfeldt Layden, 32, wife of Frances (Mike) Layden, died Wednesday in St. Vincent's hospital, Indianapolis. A former resident of Moline, the former Jane Elizabeth Hvitfeldt was born in Chicago, April 26, 1916, and moved to Moline with her family at the age of six. She was graduated fro Moline high school and attended Augustana college two years. She was active in dramatic productions during her school years.
Her marriage to Mr. Layden took place June 4, 1938, in Davenport, and the couple moved to Indianapolis, where they have been residing the last seven years.
Surviving Mrs. Layden besides her husband are three children, Susan Jane, Peter Michael and Sara Anna; her mother, Mrs. George W. Johnson; and two brothers, Roy, Detroit and Bob Hvitfeldt Moline.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Feb 1 2022, 5:18:23 UTC
