JAMESTOWN EVENING JOURNAL, THURSDAY, MARCH 29,1894. p.5 A Birthday Celebrated . Mrs. Benjamin Nichols's 53d birthday was celebrated at her home, 119 South Main street, by a very clever surprise from her relatives from Kennedy and this city. Mrs. Nichols had occasion to go out shopping about 10 o'clock Wednesday and on returning home found to her great surprise, that she had company; yes, numerous company, but as they made it known at once that they had brought a well filled basket it relieved her mind from the embarrassment of "What shall I get for dinner?" The dinner was elegant and of abundance. The afternoon was spent socially, the guests departing for their homes with the expressed wish for Mrs. Nichols of many more as pleasant birthdays.
