A Sir Henry Tey was executor to her husband's will in 1499. A Sir Henry had inherited from a Sir John Tey of Brightwell in Essex, who had died 1462.[1] Henry had been 7 at the death of his father.[2] So Jane appears to be the sister of this Henry.[3]
Also a will of the Fincham's of Fincham mentions describes Jane as alive in 1517, by then remarried as still alive. Her second husband remarried so she died long before he did in 1533.[4]
By this 2nd marriage John Fincham and Jane Tey had issue :-
- l. JOHN son and heir.
- II. ALICE, wife to Humphrey Kervile, of Wiggenhall St. Mary’s
- III. MARGARET, who married probably William Skipwith, who is called “my brother Skipwith” in the Will of her brother John.
John Fincham died in 1499, and is buried in St. Martin's church, with Jane his wife, who it appears had married secondly Sir Philip Tilney, Knight, of Suffolk. his will is reproduced in the Fincham book by Blyth.
By this second marriage Philip Tilney and Jane Tey had issue
- Edmund Tilney

Although according to the pedigree in Metcalfe, supra, p. 73, the testator married secondly Jane Teye, the daughter of Thomas Teye of Layer de la Haye, Essex, by whom he had a son, Edmund Tilney, it appears the testator’s second wife was the widow of John Fincham (d. 30 April 1499), and the daughter of John Teye of Brightwell Hall, Suffolk, by his wife, Margaret, of Birch, Essex.
