He offered 2nd oldest dtr, Sarah (Wade) Mead 100 acres of his property to leave Morrisville, Madison Co, NY to come to MN in 1880 to take care of him as he was gravely ill. However he was brought back from Dodge Ctr & d in house of Sarah (Wade) Mead in Morrisville, NY 29 Jan 1882. He is buried at Morrisville Rural Cem, Morrisville, NY. Sarah's husband Myron Mead d Aug 1879 of appendix rupture. - "David Sadler" <davidsadler_13043@yahoo.com>Add sender to ContactsTo: "Judith Meyer" <judithameyer@yahoo.com> Judy, 24 Sep 2010 Jared Wade owned house in Morrisville while he was living in MN. His oldest Phoebe Ann (Wade) Bettis 1823-1881 who was my 3rd ggrdmother lived in house. She d 4 mos bef her father Jared Wade. Cause of her death was consumption, which today is called TB. She was wife of Truman Bettis who d 1867. She re-married to Bradshaw of which I can't find anything. I found this out several yrs ago while researching Book of Deeds at Madison Co Crt House. Oldest child of Truman & Phoebe Ann (Wade) was Rhoda Almira who m Harvey Butler. He d 1879 & she d 1901. She used her middle name, but spelled it Almyra which is on her gravestone. She was grddtr of Jared Wade. Grave sites of Jared Wade & Bettis's & Butlers appear to have been purchased by Jared Wade. There are at least 15 adjoining graves. Yes, house next door to Sarah Jane (Wade) Mead is 1 he owned & he stayed & died in. That woud be middle of 3 houses. I put post-it notes on reverse side of photographs. When I ran out I wrote on backs of photos. David L Sadler Box 47 Clockville, NY 13043
