Jarmin Barrett, of the Catawba was born in 1722 in Rock Hill, York Co., SC, Brit AM Colony. Her parents were Arataswa Hagler, Chief of Catawba and Unknown Cherokee Hagler. Disputed in tribal relations; probably.not.correct - Jarmin ‘JarFly’ HAIGLER. Jarmin married Jonathan A. Barrett in 1755 in North Carolina, United States. Together they had the following children: Bathsheba Kuykendal; Elizabeth Barrett; Abel Barrett. She died in Wittenburg, Alexander Co., NC, Brit AM Colony.
Jonathan & Jarmin "JarFly" Haigler were married c. 1755. She is disputed as member of the Catawba Indian tribe To this union 3 children were born:
Bathsheba 1748-1816 m Sam Oxford Jr. They had a daughter Bathsheba Caroline Oxford.
Abel - stayed with the Catawba tribe.
