About Jarryd Lyons

Jarryd Lyons (born 22 July 1992) is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted with pick #61 in the 2010 National Draft, having previously played for the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup.

Lyons did not play in his first AFL season, but showed good signs with SANFL side Glenelg. He made his AFL debut in Round 5, 2012, against Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in Showdown XXXII. He played only three games in that season but continued to perform in the SANFL and could have played more if it hadn't been for an ill-timed foot injury.

Lyons played nine games in 2013, including a four-goal game against Collingwood in round 16 as a small forward. He played ten more in 2014, beginning to cement his place in the side in the latter half of the year.
