Jasper "Jack" Zimmer
Jasper Martin (Jack) Zimmer, 62, R.R. 2, Rensselaer, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Home Hospital, Lafayette following hospitalization of four months.
Born in Newton Township on November 20, 1911, he was the son of John F. & Gertrude (Willwers) Zimmer and was a lifetime resident of the county.
Educated in Newton Township schools, he was a farmer, a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are a son Joseph I. Zimmer, San Francisco, Calif., and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Rehmer, Medford, Oregon, Miss Emma Zimmmer, Rensselaer and Mrs. Joseph (Josephine) Faulkner, Lafayette. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Fr. Richard Riedel officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Remington. Friend may call at the Jackson Funeral Chapel, Rensselaer after 3:00 p.m. Monday. A rosary service will be held at the chapel at 8:00 p.m. this evening.
