

Jay A. Voigt, 41, Bismarck, North Dakota, died June 9, 2006, at a St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, North Dakota, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jay Andrew Voigt was born on August 31, 1964, in Bismarck, North Dakota, the son of Pete and Dawne (Dahlen) Voigt.
He was baptized and confirmed at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mandan, North Dakota. Jay graduated from Mandan High School and attended Bismarck Junior College.
He married Lynette Hoesel on August 12, 1988. They have three children, Eli (13), Ethan (11), and Abby (7).
Jay was employed with Eide Ford for the past eight years as service manager. Jay became a member of the Lutheran faith when he was confirmed on September 13, 1992. He was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church, serving on the Board of Evangelism and the Martin Luther School Board.
Hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, and visiting were activities Jay enjoyed. He especially enjoyed paddle fishing with his boys and friends. He was also a Cub Scout leader.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette of Bismarck, North Dakota; his children, Eli, Ethan, and Abby of Bismarck, North Dakota; his mother, Dawne Voigt of Mandan, North Dakota; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and Dick Clarys of Richardton, North Dakota; Valeri and Don Entzel of Mandan, North Dakota; and Becci and Wayne Braun of New Salem; North Dakota.
Jay is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Arni and Bert of Mandan, North Dakota; Owen and Becky of Helena, Montana; Pat of Mandan, North Dakota; Milo and Tammy of Glendive, Montana; and Luke and Shauna of Mandan, North Dakota.
Also his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alice and Laurence Hoesel of New Salem, North Dakota; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Weldon and Ronda Hoesel of Lidgerwood, North Dakota; Colleen and Randy Klusmann of Kulm, North Dakota; Bryan and Vic Hoesel of New Salem, North Dakota; and Kevin and Penny Hoesel of Hannover, North Dakota; forty-one nieces and nephews; twenty-seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Voigt in May of 2000.
