Jay Joseph Wolff

Jay was an interesting man. He loved to sing and was active in the St. Louis Municipal Opera chorus in the 1950's. He was a train conductor. He moved to the Philadelphia area in about 1954 and died there. We suspect he chose an alternative lifestyle and lived with a man in Phily.

He was a baby age 8/12 months old in the 1900 census. In the 1920 census he was living with his parents and brother Nathan at 3916 N. Market Street. He was a Salesman in Dry Goods, as was his brother. This record states that his father came to the US in 1890 and was naturalized as a citizen in 1917.
