1 March 1701: Bond of relief and assignation by Ludovick Grant of that ilk to Alexander Grant younger of that ilk his son, who has become cautioner for granter in sundry obligations and debts, particularly contract of marriage between granter and Lady Lee [Jean Houstoun, relict of Richard Lockhart of Lee], same date, assigning to said Alexander £5000 stg. due to Ludovick by Lionel, earl of Dysart, in marriage contract between Alexander and his present lady, [Elizabeth Stewart. daughter of James, lord Doune,] dated 1 Oct., 2 Dec. 1698.
