About Jean Lillian Lamon
Jean Lillian Mills Lamon, age 89, of Upper Arlington, died Saturday, January 27, 2007, at First Community Village Health Care Center. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, a daughter of Frederick Richard and Inez May Sellers Mills. She moved to Athens, Ohio where she graduated from Athens High School, and subsequently moved to Ada, Ohio. She married Joshua Howard Lamon on May 1, 1941, in the Methodist Church in Ada, Ohio. She and her husband moved to Lima where she worked for several years at Gregg's Department Store. They then moved to Chicago, then Tulsa, OK, then to Seattle, WA, back to Lima, and retired in Columbus. Her husband and parents precede her in death. She is survived by her sons, Frederick Howard (Barbara) Lamon of Jefferson City, MO, and David Mills (Mary) Lamon of Columbus; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Byron) Hays of Colorado Springs, CO, Susan (Chris) Wallen of Platte City, MO, Nancy Lamon of Silver Spring, MO, Sheryl (Chris) Wunderlich of Dudley, MO, David (Kim) Lamon of Naples, FL, and Kristin (Paul) Maddry of Naples, FL; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Mills and Frederick Mills, both of Lima. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service from 12Noon-1 p.m. Wednesday. Interment Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1581 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43212, in her memory.
