Jean Maxwell married William Maxwell, brother of John Maxwell of Nether Pollock.Memoirs of the Maxwells of Pollock, i, p. 34 She was his future wife on 17 January 1587-88, the date upon which her husband gave her a tenement of land located on the High Street of Glasgow.
