Jean Elizabeth Rymaszewski

Rymaszewski, Jean age 82, of Windham, Conn., died on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Ellis Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on May 13, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Alvord B. and Jean Thompson Churchill. Mrs. Rymaszewski had lived in Halfmoon since 1989. Earlier, she had resided in Fishkill, N.Y. since 1969, and was formerly of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was a housewife and homemaker. As an excellent musician and accomplished violinist, Jean had attended Juilliard and Yale University. She was an avid bridge player. Jean enjoyed woodcarving, music and cooking but, above all, she loved to be a grandmother. She was the loving wife of Eugene Rymaszewski; devoted mother of Janet (Peter) Palmer of Tillson, N.Y., John (Christine) Hartman of Beacon, N.Y. and Maria (Matthew) Truex of Clifton Park, N.Y.; caring sister of George T. (Marlene) Churchill of Alexandria, Va. and the late Dr. John Churchill and Alvord Churchill; cherished grandmother of Stefan Truex, Alexander Truex, Mark Palmer and Julia Palmer. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Route Nine in Ushers, N.Y. There will be no calling hours. Interment of her cremains will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford, N.Y. at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jean's memory to the American Cancer Society , 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
