Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Jeanette M. Fuchs, age 73, of Paynesville will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Jeanette passed away on March 8th at the Koronis Manor with family at her side after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s. Reverend Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Entombment will take place in the parish mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville.

Jeanette was born on May 12, 1937 in Melrose, Minnesota to Victor and Regina (Meyer) Illies. She married George J. Fuchs on August 27, 1956 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Meire Grove. They lived and farmed by Lake Henry for many years, moving to Paynesville in 1985. Jeanette was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and Christian Women, Catholic United Financial, the Daughters of Isabella, St. Isadore Mission Group, and the St. Margaret's Rosary Society.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, quilting, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, dancing, playing cards, walking and watching sports. She treasured time traveling the world and spending winters in Arizona with George.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, George of Paynesville; daughters, Sharon (Steve) Meyer of Raymond, Lois (Loren) Engelby of Atwater, Denise (Tim) Smith of Raymond, Joyce (Joel) Roelike of Lake Henry, Brenda (Joey) Lieser of Meire Grove; 19 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Kathleen Meyer of Spring Hill, Marie (Mike) Pung of Cold Spring, Dennis (Kathy) Illies of Meire Grove and Joey Illies of Sebeka.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Lyle Mahn; brother, Harold Illies; and brother-in-law, Sylvester Meyer. Jeanette Fuchs May, 12, 1937 – March 8, 2011PAYNESVILLE — Jeanette M. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. The Rev. Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Entombment will take place in the parish mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home. Memorials are preferred.
