OBITUARY On Monday last Jeff Cook who was a citizen of Crenshaw county near Highland Home during his entire life up to a few years since when he removed to Montgomery,died suddenly at his home at Oak park in Montgomery.His remains were shipped to Lapine and buried at the cemetery west of Highland Home by Lapine Mason Lodge,where other members of his family were buried before.He leaves two sons,W.H.Cook and L.E.Cook of Montgomery and Mrs. R.S.Lewis who resides in Ramer.and two daughters,his wife having preceded him to the grave several years since who died 24 years before.His age was about 78 years.A member of the Masonic Lodge.
