Jehiel Baldwin, son of Daniel Baldwin and Patience Stevens, was b. in Milford, Connecticut on June 21, 1716. He was brought up in Wallingford, parish of Meriden. He married on November 30, 1743, MARY WAY, who died on September 27, 1748 -- a fatal month to him, as he also lost two children.

Children by Mary: David, baptized 1747; d. y. and probably September 6 or 10,1748, when unnamed child. died on September 6 or 10, 1748.

Note: Per Epidemics in US 1628-1918, measles broke out in Connecticut in 1747. It was not uncommon for outbreaks to occur for up to a year thereafter; especially is more rural areas.

Jehiel married (2nd) with BRIDGET GOODWIN on April 6, 1749 and had children born in Wallingford, Meriden Parish.
