About Jennie Throckmorton
Mrs. Jennie B. Throckmorton, widow of Charles L. Throckmorton, died at her home on South Richhill street, Wednesday evening, October 20, aged 44 years. She had been ill for the past eighteen months. Her death was due to liver trouble, following an operation for gall stones. For ten years Mrs. Throckmorton had held a position in the commercial department of the South Penn Telephone office and was well known. She was a daughter of Mrs. Martha Taylor Blatchley, with whom she made her home. In 1908 she was united in marriage with Charles L. Throckmorton, whose death occurred in 1916. A daughter, Florence Throckmorton, died three years ago. Beside her mother she is survived by one brother, William Blatchley, of Waynesburg, and a sister, Miss Dale Blatchley, a teacher in Cumberland township. Mrs. Throckmorton was a devoted member of the First Baptist church.
