About Jeremiah Mann
Jeremiah Mann was b. in Milton, Saratoga County, NY on July 5,1800 and came to Ripley in 1825 when he m. CLARISSA BROCKWAY, dau. of Burban Brockway and Lois Anna Bostwick. He moved in 1826 to a farm in Northeast Pennsylvania and subsequently to Quincy, Mass., where he resided until he d. Sept 11.1868. He was elected to the assembly in 1844 and was one of the first directors of the Buffalo & Erie Railroads. He and Clarissa are both buried at Quincy Rural cemetery, Ripley, NY.
Children were: Augusta Mann (1826), Caroline (1828) and Lydia Ann (1833).
