Jeremy was a fun-loving guy who visited his grandfather’s church in Plains whenever he could. He had one run-in with the cops in 2005 when he was just a teenager when he was sentenced to 30 days of house arrest and 36 days of probation for stealing an Xbox. The victim didn’t want young Jeremy Carter to go to jail, so his charges were reduced from burglary to misdemeanor theft. Normally, a burglary conviction could have led to up to three years in prison. He also had to perform 100 hours of community service and undergo drug counseling.
